RODEO HORSES & PROSPECTS  

At Armes Ranch you will find quality rodeo performance horses of any level. Lots of time, work, and effort are put into the horses daily to produce a sound partner in and out of the rodeo arena.  Bray and Neelley Armes have been riding and rodeoing since the age of 5 and have lots of experience in and out of the rodeo arena.  Bray and Neelley are both members of the PRCA, UPRA, AQHA, NBHA just to name a few.  Bray is a professional Steer Wrestler and also shows his talents in the Team Roping and occasional Calf Roping.  Neelley has been Barrel Racing professionally for eight years and also competes  competively in the Breakaway Roping and Team Roping. Bray and Neelley were both highschool and college champions. Bray has gone on to win the PRCA Texas Circuit in 2004 and rank in the top 30 of the World Standings. Neelley was apart of the 2005 Tarleton State Girls Team NIRA National Champions and was the 2006-2007 National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association President in her last year of college rodeo. Bray and Neelley are now enjoying themselves raising their kids Breely & Drake, rodeoing, and training horses.

Super solid and easy to ride POWERFUL gelding. Just sit there and hang on!! Willie has lots of speed and can really turn. He is a free runner that won't run by a barrel or you can push hard! Just hang on tight cause this powerful horse will throw some G-force into your saddle. You can cruise him into the 2D or push him into the 1D. Depends on you! He has been run indoors and out and handles both. He is ready for someone to hit the rodeo circuit or just hit the big barrel races. He has been hauled lightly over the last two years and is now ready for someone to get serious with him. All of the seasoning and hard work is done and now its time to have fun. Willie does not have a big record yet because we have not given him the chance to. He is coming into his prime and is now ready to be a rodeo horse and he is priced accordingly. Requires no practice or working, just keep him in shape and go. He is sound with no bad habits. He is full of himself though and not your typical dead-head. But that's just his personailty. He is level headed, quick, catty and loves to hunt a cow. He is solid on the heel side, and is our upcoming calf horse. He has a winter of working cattle out in the wheat field under his belt and has become the #1 horse for day work. Don't be suprised if this little athlete is seen running barrels because he has a mind to do it all. We are super excited to see how this handsome boy turns out and hope he might make Breely an All-Around horse one day. We bought him as an un-broke 2yo out of Louisiana. He was broke by Brook Bearden in Stephenville, Tx and trained by Bray and Neelley Armes.

He is a champion in all the above events and has taken 3 sisters through the ranks of junior rodeos, high school and college. He has won over 100 saddles and too many buckles to count. He is a 2-time Southwest Region Mens & Women's Horse of the Year and is so deserving of much much more. He is semi-retired with the Armes Family in hopes to hang around for starting Breely's rodeo career.
